Another pillar of the Fundación Columbus mission is to promote musical culture as a tool for personal development and social cohesion. We believe that in this way we can diffuse culture while raising the funds necessary for the Foundation to carry out its other aims.
To achieve this, we have organized a charity concert tour with the goal of facilitating the access of children with cancer and rare diseases, all while fostering the talent of Spanish musicians and the appreciation for our culture.

Il Soldato’s Philanthropic Fight
The Fundación Columbus has acquired and donated an extraordinary cello from 1800, produced by Josef Guadagnini, known as Il Soldato, for the musician chosen to carry on his legacy. It is the first Spanish charitable organization to make use of such a valuable instrument for a philanthropic purpose.
This notorious cello will be the protagonist of the charity concert tour that the Fundación Columbus has organized throughout various cities in the world. The events will boast the presence of various first class celebrities, friends of the Foundation and committed to its objectives.
This exceptional instrument has been passed down amongst great performers. The great master Herre Jan Stegenga has chosen Ángel Luis Quintana, Spain’s National Orchestra’s soloist, as the successor of this treasure.
In each concert, Il Soldato will be accompanied by internationally renowned artists. For this reason, the tour is titled: “A tempo | Il Soldato & Friends”.
